Who do we clean glass for?

For an office with a glass front on the street, business premises with lots of windows, or a VvE that wants to keep the stairwell and entrance windows clean. If you already have regular cleaning through us, window cleaning can be added separately.

Safe and in a fixed order

Before we start, we look at how the glass can be reached. Safety comes first. We are VCA-certified, work in line with Dutch health and safety guidelines, and choose the safe way to reach the glass for each situation. What can’t be done safely, we don’t attempt on a wing and a prayer.

The cleaning itself follows a fixed order. First we wipe frames and edges, so no dirt runs onto the clean glass. Then the glass is washed and squeegeed dry, from top to bottom. Finally we dry the edges and window sill. Inside glass is done the same way, with extra care for whatever stands under the window. In a stairwell we keep the way clear, so residents can simply pass.

Periodic or on call

Window cleaning can be periodic or on call. Periodic means a fixed rhythm, based on how quickly the glass gets dirty. A shopfront on a busy street often needs cleaning sooner than windows on a courtyard. On call is handy after a renovation or for a special occasion. For offices we schedule the work outside office hours where needed, so nobody has a window cleaner in front of their desk. Inside and outside glass can be done together or separately.

Glass in and around Amsterdam

We clean glass in Centrum, Zuid, Oost, West, Noord and Nieuw-West, and in the surrounding area, such as Amstelveen and Diemen. A canal house with a narrow facade and tall windows needs a different approach from an office block on the edge of Amsterdam. We look at what’s feasible for each building.
