Home cleaning in Amsterdam

Sometimes it’s a move, sometimes just a busy period when the housework piles up. Smartcleaners also cleans for private customers in Amsterdam, one-off or recurring, thorough and by appointment.

Who is home cleaning for?

For people who want help keeping their home clean. For example someone who has to hand over a flat after moving, a family looking for regular help, or a resident who wants to start afresh with a clean home after a renovation. We do home cleaning when it fits our schedule, and we’re honest about that in advance.

What we do in the home

At the first appointment we walk through the home with you. You tell us what you’d like: just the kitchen and bathroom, or the whole house. We write that down, including what we don’t do. So there are no surprises afterwards.

In the kitchen we clean the worktop, hob, sink and cupboard fronts. In the bathroom it’s sanitary ware, shower, tiles and mirrors, with a product that tackles limescale. In the living room and bedrooms we dust from high to low, finishing with vacuuming and mopping. We bring equipment and products. Prefer something without a strong smell, or a more eco-friendly product? Just say so and we’ll arrange it. If you have pets or things we mustn’t touch, we’d like to hear about it in advance.

One-off or on a regular rhythm

A one-off clean is handy for a move, after a renovation or for a special occasion. Recurring cleaning can be weekly, fortnightly or at another rhythm that suits your household. We plan flexibly where possible. With recurring cleaning we prefer to send the same person each time, so you don’t have to explain where everything is every time.

We do home cleaning in Amsterdam: in Centrum, Oost, West, Zuid, Noord and Nieuw-West. Live just outside the city, for example in Amstelveen or Diemen? Feel free to ask whether it fits the schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

The first time it’s helpful, so we can go through the agreements together. After that it can be done without you, provided we make good arrangements about the key.

Do you also do the oven and fridge?

If agreed in advance, yes. The inside of appliances isn’t automatically part of a standard clean.

What if I’m not happy with something?

Let us know. Because we agree in advance what will happen, it’s quickly clear what needs to change. We’ll then look together at how to do better next time.

Can I book a one-off clean for a property handover?

Yes. Tell us how big the home is and when it needs to be ready, and we’ll see if it fits the schedule.
